The idea for Alternatives.pe originated from the frustration of not having access to a single source that could offer an accurate & complete view of private company transactions.

Existing data providers often fell short in terms of data coverage, accuracy and timeliness, leaving professionals in the region at a disadvantage when making critical investment decisions.

Driven by the belief that the private market ecosystem in Southeast Asia deserved better, Jason Edwards, our founder who is from the VC & PE industry, assembled a talented team of industry experts, data analysts and technologists. We embarked on an ambitious journey to build a platform that would serve as the go-to resource for private market intelligence in the region.

The platform was designed to collect data from the most reliable source available – regulatory filings. Since its launch, Alternatives.pe has rapidly gained recognition as the trusted and reliable source of private market intelligence. The first product we released, that covers tech startups and Venture Capital deals, is now used by the majority of funds in Southeast Asia.
